We’ve talked here on the blog about the extensive changes to ‘World War Z’ that came from the process of adapting it to film. A CNN story I saw the other day on another topic, about Hollywood’s responses to the needs of the Chinese film market (particularly, state censorship issues) mentioned another alteration. Apparently, unlike in the book World War Z, the ‘Zombie pandemic’ in the film will start somewhere other than China – to ensure it doesn’t ruffle feathers when released in the world’s second largest film market.

Interesting. And a nice reminder that Anti-Zombie media ultimately all comes down to the bottom line.
