Just a quick update to show off these spiffy Zombie-Friendly shoelaces from Hot Topic which the ZRC had the chance to pick up for about 4 dollars the other day.
Spiffy, huh? It’s good to see a retailer that’s willing to sell Zombie related merchandise that doesn’t glorify or revel in Romero-style anti-Zombie violence.
Good job Hot [...]

So Excel Gynmastics in the Chicago, IL area has decided to cash in on the ‘Zombie Apocalypse’ craze by constructing a ‘class’ to teach people who to survive an encounter with a zombie mob:
With that in mind they have created ZombieFit – a fitness program that involves functional fitness and the parkour ideology. Parkour is [...]

This is decidedly a mixed bag for me, but a web-company is selling Zombie.. Perfume:
The scent of death lingers on the walking dead. Limbs rot, organs turn rancid, and decomposition sets in. For a zombie in a state of decay, they need Zombie Fragrance Oil. Liberally apply this scent, and combat that lingering odor [...]

Randomly caught this older story about some seemingly clever hackers breaking into those light up textual warning signs along the side of the road, changing them to ‘warn’ people about Zombies ahead.
Must even hackers, themselves a poorly understood subculture, turn on the Differently Animated?
Why not a hacked sign that reads “Zombies Ahead, Please Drive Carefully” [...]

So the ZRC has been looking to move its headquarters (and our living space) for some time, and today we think we found the right abode. It includes tons of room to expand our operations, in a sleepy tree-lined residential neighborhood.
It got me to thinking, though. The forms just to apply for renting [...]

So the latest comic from nerd-tastic XKCD contains a take on the traditional Zombie Pandemic scenario:
As you can see, Randall Munroe has decided to show his true lifeist colors with this heartless display of anti-Zombie violence, but also note how closely he adheres to several outdated Zombie stereotypes. Zombies are created in a laboratory [...]

The Zombie Rights Campaign would like to take this opportunity to wish all of our readers, living and unliving alike, a happy and festive holiday season. It’s the perfect time of year to warm your room temperature flesh by a roaring fire (not too close now or you’ll combust), sip a hot mug of [...]

So we apparently got a link from a rabidly Anti-Zombie website, the National Center for Reanimation Prevention and Control.
They feel that the concept of Zombie Rights is somehow absurd, and suggest that the rights in question should be the right to a messy death at the hands of a gun-toting vigilante.
I hate to link to [...]

We’ve been thinking a lot about language here at the ZRC lately; specifically, the language relating to the Undead and their long-denied struggle for acceptance and equality.
When the living talk about Zombies, they often use terms like ‘rotting corpse’, ‘living dead’, ’shambler’, ’slow-walker’ and the like, expressing their disdain and intolerance. But even the [...]

So the chairwoman of the ZRC had to catch a flight today for her day-job, and was sporting her personal copy of the prototype ZRC shirt (which you get a sneak preview of here), which led to an eye-opening discussion about the cause of Zombie Rights when she checked in at the ticket kiosk. Apparently [...]
