Is Even One of America’s Anti-Union Governors Not a Criminal, Druggie, Dropout, Idiot or Fraud?

After an exchange on Twitter last night about Mitch Daniels, I got to thinking: are any of the big name Republican Anti-Union governors who are in the news gunning for union rights not idiots or criminals?

So far, the answer is: no!

Let’s run down the list, shall we:

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker: Dropout, Cheat and more

–Dropped out of college with a C average
Cheated repeatedly in a student government election while at Marquette University
–Is pushing the radical anti-union bill here in Wisconsin, which strips public workers of their hard-fought union rights
–Is under fire for considering plan to use agitators to cause a riot in peaceful protests at the Capitol

Ohio Gov. John Kasich: Reckless driver, Loudmouthed Jerk

Plead guilty to a traffic violation for failure to yield to an emergency vehicle
–Publicly attacked the officer who pulled him over:

Now seeking to strip public sector union members of their rights.

Florida Gov. Rick Scott: CEO of Company that Defrauded Medicare

–Rick Scott was the CEO of Columbia/HCA, a healthcare provider that systematically defrauded medicare:

In settlements reached in 2000 and 2002, Columbia/HCA plead guilty to 14 felonies and agreed to a $600+ million fine in the largest fraud settlement in US history. Columbia/HCA admitted systematically overcharging the government by claiming marketing costs as reimbursable, by striking illegal deals with home care agencies, and by filing false data about use of hospital space. They also admitted fraudulently billing Medicare and other health programs by inflating the seriousness of diagnoses and to giving doctors partnerships in company hospitals as a kickback for the doctors referring patients to HCA. They filed false cost reports, fraudulently billing Medicare for home health care workers, and paid kickbacks in the sale of home health agencies and to doctors to refer patients. In addition, they gave doctors “loans” never intending to be repaid, free rent, free office furniture, and free drugs from hospital pharmacies.

–In all, the company was found guilty of 14 separate felonies
-Has his own plan to attack unions

Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels: Druggie, Criminal

Plead guilty in 1970 to drug-related offenses involving substantial amounts of illegal and prescription drugs:

Officers found enough marijuana in his room to fill two size 12 shoe boxes, reports of the incident say. He and the other inhabitants of the room were also charged with possession of LSD and prescription drugs without a prescription. Daniels and his two roommates in 111 Cuyler Hall, Marc Stuart ’71 and Richard Stockton ’71, were arrested and, after plea bargaining, Daniels eventually escaped with a $350 fine for “maintaining a common nuisance.”

Now wants to strip private sector unions of their rights in radical assault, which fortunately seems to have failed.

Honestly? You mean all four of them are sketchy characters with shady pasts? All of them?

These are your Anti-Union governors of the moment, America.

Update: Just some style tweaks.
