This is a New One – Anti-Zombie Magnetic Poetry Set

I suppose, on reflection, there must be a lot of Anti-Zombie magnet products out there. There are magnets for everything, and it’s not too expensive to make them, which helps to explain why I have so many from local takeout restaurants on the ZRC fridge.

Neither is Anti-Zombie poetry unheard of here at The Zombie Rights Campaign, as can be demonstrated with our review of ‘Zombie Haiku’ located here.

Still, when we learned about a clearly Anti-Zombie Magnetic Poetry set from reporting at FearNet, we were appalled:

Whether you are a survivor or the walking dead, put your feelings into words with this box of ravenous yet slow-moving word magnets. Over 200 zombie-specific words like “outrun,” “mindless,” “escape,” “wander,” “hungry,” and, of course, “brains” will make you a literary giant when the zombie apocalypse hits.

Shockingly prejudiced, isn’t it? But perhaps this was an editorial lapse from FearNet? What do the actual publishers have to say?

More or less the same thing, sadly:

Product Description
From the makers of the original Magnetic Poetry Kit – over 200 word magnets of the damned. A box of ravenous yet slow-moving magnets.

‘Ravenous’ and ‘slow-moving’, even ‘damned’; yet again we see prejudice creeping into virtually every word an Anti-Zombie publisher puts out about Zombies.

Well, we have a few choice words for you, Magnetic Poetry makers: how about ‘bigoted’? How about ‘mean-spirited’? How about ‘Anti-Zombie’?

Stick this one on your fridge, jerks.

Fortunately there seems to be an answer out there for those who want some Zombie Friendly poetry options, as we took a sneak peek at ‘Brains for Lunch: A Zombie Novel in Haiku?!’ a while back (it’s currently in our review queue). If you need to spend some money at Amazon for Zombie poetry, you have at least three options, but there’s only one the ZRC could endorse.

We leave it up to your consciences which to choose.

(Hint: It’s the last one.)
