After last week’s grueling, disjointed, semi-hallucinatory psychic and physical beating of most of the main cast (and all of the audience), this week on The Walking Dead took a detour into an seemingly pleasant community looking out for its own.
If only they were Zombie Tolerant too… alas. They most certainly are not. More below.

The Walking Dead continues this fall, for better or worse (and from a Zombie Rights perspective, pretty distinctively worse). But one could be forgiven for wondering if the show is giving up on making its audience scared of the Undead in favor of a bat-wielding psychopath, at least judging from this first episode.
More after the cut.

And so another Fear the Walking Dead demi-season draws to a close!
The first half season memorably ended with the characters reaching the ocean, but not salvation. The second opened with LA in flames and closed with a cult in flames.
All very dramatic.
Which is why it’s strange that this half season ends with such a pronounced shrug. Not even a whimper… just a shrug.
Exactly how I feel each week after watching FTWD. Very compelling.
Spoilers below.

A double episode this week! Apparently.
Which is weird, really. Why… did someone not look at the calendar until recently and failed to realize the premiere of regular Walking Dead is coming up?
At any rate, the first half, ‘Wrath’, has made a lot of headlines, and for once, it lives up to its name all right.

Another week, another Fear the Walking Dead episode to affirm your faith in… err… hmm.
This week!
A family of survivors flees the Tijuana cult compound and is immediately captured by the drug addicted gang Nick has been exploiting, who want to locate their source.
Our heroes are always so good for the people around them.
More below the cut, including spoilers about characters you allegedly care about.

Fear the Walking Dead continues this week!
When talking about social justice, one often talks about property. Who gets to own it, who gets to live in it. This week, Fear the Walking Dead exposes another way Zombies are often mistreated in fiction, as its main cast steals outright a hotel from the local Zombie population.
Cruel. But completely in character. No doubt this hotel will be a central setting this season.
Also, Nick’s new community in Tijuana is a cult. He has a talent for finding cults.
Rampant anti-Zombie cruelty and Living Supremacism abounds as usual. See you next week!

Greetings from the ZRC blog! We’re going to start doing somewhat shorter, more to the point reviews, trying to keep things moving along here on the blog. It should help us in coping with the whole ‘unending tide of anti-Zombie prejudice’ thing.
After a short hiatus, Fear the Walking Dead has returned. But did it *learn* anything?
